Strong but minimal.
Using concrete for our base allows us to get a minimal door threshold thickness while having an ultra-strong rigid base.
Our pods are designed to be as minimal as possible, not requiring a set down in the slab.
Sourcing reliable base's
We originally started our bathroom pod journey prototyping and experimenting with a hot-dip galvanising steel base soon to realise concrete would be a superior product, offering more design flexibility and quality control.
We source all our bases from a local bespoke concrete manufacturer that helped us develop our base methodology.
Consistent quality.
The advantages of using concrete for our base, are that we get precise, consistent fall ratios that comply with the Australian building code.
Engineered certified and fit for lifting
Together with our pod bases manufacturer, we work with Rickard engineering to design and certify all our pods.
All our bases have engineered certification by Rickard Engineering and have been deemed fit for lifting with approved lifting methods specified by the engineer.
Rickard Engineering assisted in setting up our manufactures QA system.
